As a project of The Christian Chain, Inc., it is our goal to be bridge builders among the many Christian denominations seeking to enhance the long-term health of the Church by supporting church leadership and interdenominational cooperation.
We seek to foster an increased discipline of unity in the corporate Body of Christ through resourcing and equipping church leaders and their congregations with educational material, devotional content, and community outreach activities.
We envision a world in which Christian churches work across denominational barriers, maintaining the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Scripture clearly tells us to endeavor for unity and to this end, Partners in Unity, as part of The Christian Chain, feels called to help build bridges; connecting people to people, churches to churches, and the world to Jesus Christ.
Currently, we are in the initial funding stage for this project and plan to roll out this program in three phases; detailed out below.

Three Development Phases
Phase One
The Planning and Discovery Phase
Through a survey of local churches in the Phoenix, Arizona area we will identify biblical areas of unity within a congregation in need of improvement. Using Scripture, we will be surveying church leaders to evaluate their understanding and practice of unity within the congregation based on a specific set of criteria.
While the churches are being surveyed, a secondary activity of Phase One will be to train a small group of volunteers to assist the Executive team in completing Phase Two. These initial volunteers would be recruited and trained with the understanding that they would move on to train new volunteers.
After the survey has been completed, we will produce a white paper with the aggregate results for distribution first to the churches who participated in the survey and then to the general public; it will be utilized as an awareness material report.

Phase Two
The first round of church assessments
and planting the seeds of growth.
During Phase Two, ten local churches in the Phoenix area will complete an assessment like the original, only applied to the individual congregation. The Phase Two team will consult with church leadership to provide support and resources to see a positive change in how the church and its congregation actively practice unity. Examples of support and resources will be a specifically trained volunteer force, community outreach opportunities, spiritual guidance for pastors or respite pastoring if needed, and a sermon series outline with accompanying small group study guide on the topic of biblical unity.
Phase Three
Looking at longer-term effects and determining viability
In the final phase of this planning project, we will revisit the same initial survey questions, at the 1-year mark, only this time we will conduct peer interviews with church leaders while The Christian Chain staff will conduct focus groups with the congregations. Once we do verify the viability of the Partners in Unity program, we will launch the program on a national scale starting with areas that we currently have a connection to; namely, Arizona, Indiana, Missouri and Florida.
